Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what personal information Distribute (“Distribute”, “we”) collects, why we collect it, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to distribute.us and the associated Distribute platform.

1. Information we collect

  • Account info — email, display name, username, avatar, bio, primary role (creator, brand, admin).
  • Contact details — optional phone and WhatsApp numbers you provide.
  • Social handles — the public accounts you link (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, etc.) and the public metrics we retrieve from them.
  • Campaign activity — the campaigns you apply to, submissions you send, views/likes/comments/shares on your posts, and approval status.
  • Payout info — Bitcoin (BTC) address you provide, payout requests, and on-chain transaction hashes.
  • Referrals — who you referred or were referred by, and commissions accrued.
  • Support — messages you send to our AI assistant or in support tickets.
  • Technical data — IP address, browser and device information, and logs necessary to operate and secure the service.

2. How we use information

  • Operate the marketplace: match creators to campaigns, verify submissions, calculate and pay earnings.
  • Communicate with you: account, campaign, referral, and support notifications, plus optional marketing (which you can opt out of).
  • Prevent fraud and abuse: detect duplicate submissions, view spikes, and other suspicious patterns.
  • Improve the product: aggregate analytics on how the service is used.
  • Comply with law: respond to lawful requests and enforce our Terms.

3. Legal bases (EEA / UK users)

  • Contract: to provide the service you signed up for.
  • Legitimate interests: to secure the platform, prevent fraud, and improve the product.
  • Consent: for optional marketing emails, which you can withdraw at any time.
  • Legal obligation: to comply with applicable laws and tax reporting.

4. Sharing

  • Brands: brands running a campaign you participate in see your public creator identity, linked social handles, submission links, and public performance metrics.
  • Service providers: hosting, email delivery, analytics, and error monitoring vendors, bound by contract to protect your data.
  • Legal & safety: to comply with law, enforce our Terms, or protect the rights, property, and safety of Distribute, our users, and the public.
  • Public leaderboards: aggregate creator performance may be displayed on public leaderboards; you can opt out in settings.

We do not sell your personal information.

5. Bitcoin payouts

BTC addresses you provide are stored to send you payouts. Once a transaction is broadcast to the Bitcoin network, the transaction hash and address become part of a public ledger and are outside our control.

6. Cookies & local storage

We use cookies and browser storage that are strictly necessary to keep you signed in and remember your preferences. Optional analytics cookies help us understand usage; you can decline them without losing access.

7. Data retention

  • Account data: retained while your account is active and for a reasonable period after closure for legal, tax, and fraud-prevention purposes.
  • Payout records: retained as required by financial-record laws.
  • Support conversations: retained to improve service quality and to defend against disputes; you can request deletion (see rights below).

8. Your rights

Subject to local law you may have the right to:

  • Access, correct, or delete your personal information.
  • Object to or restrict certain processing, or ask us to port your data.
  • Withdraw consent for marketing at any time from the notification preferences page or via any email footer.
  • Complain to your local data-protection authority.

9. Security

We protect data with encryption in transit, row-level security in our database, restricted service credentials, and audit logging. No system is perfectly secure — please use a strong unique password and enable available multi-factor options.

10. International transfers

Distribute is operated from the United States. If you access the service from outside the U.S., your information will be transferred to and processed in the U.S. under appropriate safeguards.

11. Children

Distribute is not intended for anyone under 18 and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

12. Changes to this policy

We’ll post updates on this page and, for material changes, notify you by email or in-app. Please review periodically.
